Bukit Laksamana offers a challenging ascent to Penang's second-highest peak, with a route that winds through the lush rainforest of Telok Bahang Forest Park. Hikers should be prepared for a steep uphill climb and the trail can be muddy and slippery during the rainy season, and hikers should keep an eye out for exposed roots and broken branches.

From the summit, you can enjoy spectacular views of the city. If you're lucky, you might even spot some wildlife, such as flying lemurs and dusky leaf monkeys, along the way.
