Conquer Mount Chamah, one of Malaysia's toughest G7 peaks (2,171m). This formidable multi-day trek offers a challenging rainforest adventure for experienced hikers.

Mount Chamah, located in Gua Musang, Kelantan, stands as one of Malaysia's prestigious G7 mountains, ranking among the top 7 highest peaks in Peninsular Malaysia. It is widely regarded as one of the toughest mountains to conquer.

To begin your ascent, a 4WD vehicle is usually necessary to navigate the rough and challenging terrain leading to its trailhead.

The trek's first leg to Kem Sungai Rekom can be warm, as the path cuts through exposed open hills offering little shade. Hikers should also be prepared for sandflies, which are prevalent at the Kem Sungai Rekom campsite. For comfort, many prefer to complete the hike over three days, including two nights of camping at Kampung Rekom.

Beyond Kampung Rekom, the journey towards Anak Chamah features a mostly clear and straightforward trail, yet it involves a very steep ascent. Be sure to wear appropriate footwear, as certain sections can become muddy and require good traction.

Along the way, hikers will find various campsites such as Kem Pakma, Kem Tengah, Kem Tongkat Ali, and Kem Cinderella. While the journey is rewarding, note that panoramic views from Mount Chamah's summit are often obscured by dense foliage.
