Gunung Rajah via Kuala Kubu Bharu
A true test of endurance, this notorious long "dragon's back" trail demands everything you've got.
Gunung Rajah, a peak situated on the border of Selangor and Pahang, is renowned for its challenging hike. The trail from Kuala Kubu Bharu (KKB), Selangor, is considered one of the more difficult routes.
Hikers on this trail will face a long journey with multiple steep ascents and descents, often referred to as a "dragon's back" trail. The path is frequently muddy and slippery, with sections requiring caution due to thorny vegetation and fallen trees. Along the route from KKB, hikers will pass through a series of designated campsites in the following order: Kem BMW > Kem Botol > Kem Renoma > Kem R&R > Kem Asyur.
While the final stretch to the summit is particularly challenging, the peak offers a rewarding panoramic view, though it can sometimes be obscured by clouds.
