Lata Medang Waterfall

5 hours

Easy

Hidden deep in the forest near Kuala Kubu Bharu, Lata Medang is a beautiful multi-tier waterfall known for its lush jungle setting and refreshing pools.
Background:

The trail begins at Kampung Pertak, near the Kuala Kubu Bharu dam, and winds through tropical rainforest with several river crossings. With moderate elevation gain that offers a good balance of challenge and reward.

At the end of the trail lies a stunning 20-metre waterfall cascading into natural pools, perfect for a dip when water levels are safe. The falls are less crowded than popular spots like Sungai Chiling, making it a serene escape for nature lovers.

Do expect some leeches, especially in wetter sections of the trail, and be cautious on slippery rocks near the water.
