Background:
Gunung Pulai is one of Johor’s most accessible and scenic hiking destinations, located about an hour’s drive from the Woodlands Checkpoint and close to Kulai and Pontian. Hikers can choose between two main routes to the summit.
The paved road trail is beginner-friendly and suitable for casual hikers and families, with a steady ascent and easy navigation. For a more adventurous experience, the jungle trail provides a steeper, more rugged climb through dense forest, featuring streams, small waterfalls, and a quieter, more immersive atmosphere.
The summit delivers peaceful views over the surrounding forest, and the experience can be perfectly capped off with a refreshing stop at the nearby Pulai Waterfall.

👥 MGP Guide to Hiker Ratio:
- The standard MGP guide-to-hiker ratio is 1:7.
- If your group has more than 7 participants, additional guides will be required to maintain the mandated safety ratio.
